Capture Device Not Recognized by Computer

Your computer doesn't detect the Magewell capture device when connected. Device doesn't appear in Device Manager or capture software.

The Solution

Test different USB ports, verify cable integrity, check USB controller drivers, and ensure device is receiving power.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Try a different USB 3.0 port - test multiple ports on your computer

Use the included USB 3.0 cable - other cables may not provide sufficient power

Check Device Manager (Windows) for yellow exclamation marks or unknown devices

Update USB 3.0 controller drivers from your motherboard manufacturer's website
