The Magewell Pro Convert for NDI to SDI is a compact standalone converter that receives an NDI stream from your network and outputs it as an HD-SDI signal. At £332, it is the most affordable SDI receiver in the Pro Convert range and is the right choice for broadcast environments where NDI signals need to reach SDI-connected monitors, routers, legacy broadcast hardware, or downstream recording systems without the cost or footprint of the larger Plus devices. Compact, reliable, and priced for deployment at scale.
The device connects to your Ethernet network, receives an NDI stream from any NDI-capable source on that network, and outputs HD-SDI video to any SDI-connected piece of broadcast equipment downstream. It is a standalone appliance managed through a web browser interface, requiring no host PC. Source selection is handled remotely through the web UI. Any NDI source on the network, including streams from vMix, Wirecast, NewTek TriCaster, OBS NDI Plugin, or Magewell Pro Convert TX devices, can be selected and routed to the SDI output.
Three SDI receiver options are available in the Pro Convert range. This compact NDI to SDI at £332 outputs HD-SDI in a small form factor, making it the most cost-effective option for HD broadcast SDI environments where physical size or budget per unit matters. The Pro Convert SDI Plus at £434 outputs HD-SDI in the larger Plus form factor with enhanced management features, suited to permanent rack installations where a more robust device is appropriate. The SDI 4K Plus at £742 outputs 12G-SDI at 4K for infrastructure operating at 4K SDI resolution. If your SDI infrastructure is HD and you value compact size and cost efficiency, the NDI to SDI compact is the appropriate specification. If you need 4K SDI output, the SDI 4K Plus is the right device.
Decode NDI streams to physical video outputs for monitors, projectors, or downstream equipment in IP production systems.
Receive IP video at display endpoints and convert back to physical signals for integration with existing AV infrastructure.
Bridge NDI IP networks to legacy SDI or HDMI broadcast equipment at the output stage.
Drive signage displays or preview monitors from NDI sources distributed across a campus or facility network.
