The Magewell Ultra Encode AIO is the all-in-one variant of the Ultra Encode range, accepting both HDMI and SDI inputs simultaneously and encoding each independently over IP. At £616, it costs more than the single-input models, but for mixed-signal AV and broadcast installations it replaces two separate encoders, simplifies rack space, and removes complexity from the signal flow. One device. Both signal types. No PC required.
The Ultra Encode AIO captures video from both its HDMI and SDI inputs, encoding each independently to H.264 or H.265. Both streams can be active simultaneously, each delivered over RTMP, RTSP, SRT, NDI, or HLS. The device is fully standalone, managed through a web-based interface accessible from any browser on the network. No host PC is required at any stage.
The AIO is designed for installations where both SDI and HDMI sources are present and need to be streamed or distributed over IP at the same time. Real-world scenarios include:
Two separate Ultra Encode HDMI and SDI units would cost £738 combined. The Ultra Encode AIO at £616 is £122 cheaper for effectively the same capability, and it occupies a single physical footprint, requires one network port, one power connection, and one management interface to configure and monitor. For any permanent installation handling both signal types, the AIO is the more efficient and more cost-effective solution. If you only ever need one signal type, the single-input models at £369 each are appropriate. For enhanced protocol support with SRT encryption and full NDI output options, Magewell offers the wider Pro Encoder range for more demanding production environments.
