Control Hub Basic is the second tier of Magewell's Control Hub device management platform. It extends the core monitoring and configuration capabilities of the Lite tier with a higher device capacity and two practically important operational features: automated alerting and scheduled tasks. It is designed for facilities managing a medium number of Magewell devices where passive status checking is no longer sufficient and automated monitoring is needed.
This is a software licence, not a hardware product.
Control Hub centralises management of Magewell Pro Convert, Ultra Encode, and compatible network devices into a single web interface. Rather than accessing each device individually through its own browser interface, operators can monitor device status, push configuration changes, manage firmware, and respond to issues from one place. As the number of devices in a deployment grows, this centralisation becomes progressively more valuable and the overhead of per-device management becomes increasingly impractical.
The two capabilities that distinguish Basic from Lite are alerting and scheduled tasks:
If you have more than a handful of Magewell devices, or if you need automated alerting for device failures or signal loss rather than manual status checks, Control Hub Basic is the appropriate tier. If you are managing a small number of devices and only need a central view without automated notifications, the Lite tier at £153 is more cost-appropriate. If you need API integration or Active Directory authentication, look at the Plus or Pro tiers.
Centrally manage all IP converters, encoders, and decoders across a broadcast facility from a single dashboard.
Configure and monitor distributed Magewell devices across a campus or enterprise AV network.
Batch configure and monitor IP devices deployed across a venue or multi-site event network.
Manage lecture capture and AV distribution devices across multiple buildings from a central admin interface.
