The Pro Convert HDMI 4K Plus Module brings 4K NDI-to-HDMI conversion capability to the Magewell Modator chassis. It is the 4K-capable module in the Pro Convert HDMI lineup, receiving NDI streams at resolutions up to 4K and delivering them over HDMI. At £771 per module, it is the premium conversion option in the Modator range, suited to facilities that need 4K output at specific positions alongside standard HD channels elsewhere in the same chassis.
What This Module Does
Installed in a Modator Chassis 2U, this module receives NDI video at up to 4K resolution from the network and delivers it as HDMI output at its rear panel connector. It is functionally equivalent to the standalone Pro Convert HDMI 4K Plus but in the module format, meaning up to eight 4K conversion channels can operate in a single 2U chassis sharing power, cooling, and management.
4K NDI sources are increasingly common in modern broadcast and production environments: high-resolution PTZ cameras with NDI 4K output, workstations running NDI-capable applications at 4K, media servers delivering 4K content for large format displays, and production switchers with 4K NDI output. The HDMI 4K Plus module is the conversion endpoint for those sources wherever HDMI is the required output format.
